The ear is a remarkable and intricate organ that enables us to hear and maintain balance.                                                                 It consists of: 1. Outer ear: Collects sound waves and directs them into the ear canal. 2. Middle ear: Contains the eardrum and three tiny bones (ossicles) that transmit sound vibrations. 3. Inner ear: Houses the cochlea (for hearing) and the vestibular system (for balance).
